This page lists the codes Reap returns in application.rejectionLabels when a user’s application is REJECTED or RETRY_REQUIRED. Use them to triage applications and to tell your users what to fix.
rejectionLabels is for your internal use only. Do not display the codes to the end user or share them outside your organization. Some codes flag suspected fraud or a sanctions match. Translate them into your own guidance instead.

How to read the labels

  • A label does not decide whether the user can retry. The same label can come with either status. Use application.status for that: RETRY_REQUIRED means the user can submit again, REJECTED is final.
  • One application can carry several labels. For example, a failed selfie often returns SELFIE_MISMATCH, BAD_FACE_MATCHING, and BAD_SELFIE together.
  • The list can grow. Handle codes you do not recognize, for example by falling back to rejectionReason.
